Sandra Waigand studied the law at the universities of Würzburg, Munich and Poitiers. Sandra has been an associate at Heisse Kursawe Eversheds since 2010. Before joining Heisse Kursawe Eversheds, Sandra worked at an international law firm as well as at Telefónica O₂ Germany.

Expertise

She works in the commercial group advising clients in the areas of information technology and intellectual property. This includes all matters of internet, computer and multimedia law as well as copyright and unfair competition law. Sandra is involved in the drafting and negotiation of IT contracts including software development and licensing agreements, project agreements and service level agreements as well as outsourcing of IT and business processes, terms and conditions and both contentious and non-contentious advice. She also advices on a broad variety of data protection topics such as national and international data transfer, the implementation of personal information systems and the assessment of customer or employee databases as well as the development and implementation of website compliance strategies. Sandra advices major national and international clients of all commercial sectors ranging from IT and service industries, media and communication companies to industrial concerns.

Other areas of expertise include the intellectual property sector advising on copyright and unfair competition law with a focus on agreements and negotiations of cooperation, licensing and know-how contracts as well as intellectual property dispute resolution.
